You upload photos of individual items or entire rooms, and Kensho Lens helps identify what you have, flag items that may hold value, and provide guidance on appropriate next steps.

It’s designed to help prevent important items from being overlooked or given away before decisions are fully informed.

What kinds of items can Kensho Lens help with?

Kensho Gold supports a wide range of household items, antiques, collectibles, furnishings, artwork, and personal belongings. While not every item will have resale value, understanding what matters and what doesn’t is part of the service.

Do I have to sell items through Kensho Gold to use Kensho Lens?

No. Kensho Gold provides clarity and guidance first. Whether you choose to sell, keep, donate, or let go of items is always your decision.

What is Kensho Select?

Kensho Select is an invite-only marketplace created for rare and remarkable pieces that benefit from a broader audience than a local estate sale.

Unlike traditional estate sales, which are typically seen by nearby buyers, Kensho Select connects exceptional items with interior designers, collectors, and discerning buyers nationwide.

The goal is not speed.It’s thoughtful placement—helping meaningful objects find their best next home.

How can I list an item on Kensho Select?

Kensho Select is intentionally selective.

Items are first evaluated through Kensho Lens, where identification insights help determine whether a piece may be a good fit for the Select marketplace. If an item qualifies, you’ll receive an invitation to list it, along with guidance on next steps.

This approach ensures that:

Items on Select are well-matched to the audience viewing them
Buyers know they’re seeing carefully vetted pieces
Exceptional items aren’t lost in a general estate sale environment

Not every item is right for Kensho Select, and that’s by design. Many items are better suited for estate sales or local distribution, while select pieces benefit from national exposure.

How does shipping work for items sold through Kensho Select?

Kensho Gold provides guidance and coordination support for shipping, but does not directly handle transportation or fulfillment.

We help connect sellers with appropriate carriers and provide recommendations based on the size, value, and fragility of each item. Guidance includes packaging considerations, carrier selection, timing, and next steps.

Shipping costs and methods are confirmed in advance so expectations are clear. Unless otherwise agreed, buyers are responsible for shipping fees.

What is Kensho Estate?

Kensho Estate helps individuals and families manage their own online estate sale with professional-level guidance—without hiring a traditional estate sale company or paying large commission percentages.

We provide structure, tools, identification support, and listing assistance so estates can be organized, presented accurately, and managed with clarity and confidence.

Kensho Estate includes a one-time $295 setup fee, which supports onboarding, preparation, and platform access. An 18% buyer’s premium is collected at checkout and paid by the buyer. This supports the technology and guidance provided while allowing sellers to retain more of their proceeds compared to traditional estate sale models.

Do I have to manage the estate sale myself?

Yes—and intentionally so.

Kensho Estate is designed for people who want to stay in control while avoiding third-party management and high commission structures. Guidance and support are provided throughout the process, but decisions remain yours.

Is Kensho Gold guaranteeing the value of my items?

No. Kensho Gold provides identification insights and guidance to help inform decisions, but we do not guarantee outcomes or provide certified appraisals.

Final value and sale results depend on factors such as condition, market demand, and buyer interest.

Is Kensho Gold a replacement for appraisers or estate sale companies?
